Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Hire

1.  General

The 'Company' is trading as C&R Event and Wedding Hire.  The 'hirer' is the person or Company who hires or who has agreed to hire the goods from the Company.  'Goods' means goods provided by the Company in accordance with the terms and conditions of hire.  No terms and conditions stipulated by the hirer shall have effect unless agreed in writing.

2.  Acceptance off Conditions

The customer's acceptance of equipment on hire implies acceptance of our Conditions of Hire as given below.

3.  Retention of Title

All goods remain property of C&R Event and Wedding Hire (Hereinafter called the 'Company') and the customer undertakes not to sell, offer to sell or lend the equipment.

4.  Loss or Damage

The customer assumes complete responsibility for loss of or damage to the hire equipment (other than fair wear and tear) from the time the equipment leaves the Company until it is returned.

5.  Hire Charges - Period of Hire

A refundable deposit will be required when order is placed.

The hire charge for the equipment commences from the time that the equipment leaves the Company and continues until the equipment is returned to the Company.  You will be required to inspect and sign for the goods at the time of delivery.  Any discrepancies to the order must be notified within 24 hours of delivery.  Discrepancies can be made by email to creventhire@gmail.com or by telephone 07521 461586.  If damage has occurred photographic evidence is required.

6.  Hire Charges - Late or Incomplete Returns

In the event of the equipment not being returned to the Company on time at the end of the hire period then the hire charge will continue to be levied at the DAILY RATE until such time as the equipment is returned complete to the Company.  (In the event of the goods being returned incomplete, the Company reserves the right to invoice the customer for the missing item(s) in full.

7.  Hire Charges - Loss, Theft or Damaged Equipment

In the event of loss or theft of the hire equipment the Company will invoice the customer.  In the event of damage to the equipment, the Company will invoice the customer.

8.  Currency, VAT, Prices and Charges

All hire charges are shown in £'s sterling and no VAT is applicable.  We reserve the right at any time to alter prices without notification.  Prices shown do not include delivery or installation charges etc., but these will be quoted extra and carried out by arrangement.

9.  Payment Terms

To be paid in full a minimum of 30 days before delivery / collection of the equipment.

10.  Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation within 90 days of the first day of hire the customer will lose 50% of the remaining deposit.  If cancellation is made within 60 days of the first day of hire the customer will lose 75% of the remaining deposit.  If cancellation is made within 30 days of the first day of hire the customer will lose 100% of the deposit.  If cancellation is made within 24 hours of the start of the period of hire, then the hire rate will be charged in full.  If we arrive on site to find the event is cancelled then the customer will pay the full hire charge including carriage.  All cancellations must be received in writing and will take effect from the date of receipt.

11.  All Candles and Tea-lights

The Company cannot accept any responsibility for any damage caused by candles or tea-lights when in the possession of the customer.  The Company recommends that all candles and tea-lights remain in their holders/candelabra/vase whilst lit.  The Company also recommends that tea-lights should not be placed on a non-fire resistance surface.

12.  Candelabras

When hiring candelabras, the Company would stress not to let guests remove any crystals from the display.  Anything missing will be deducted from your deposit.
